Banyumas Central Java | sindonewsjateng.com, Thursday, May 29, 2025 – The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Banyumas Police has successfully uncovered a case of alleged extortion that occurred on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at around 22.30 WIB around the Menceng Bridge, RT 001/001 Tumiyang Village, Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency. The victim with the initials RJP (27), a resident of Rawalo District, reported that the incident began when he received an invitation to meet from a woman who claimed to be named Helena via WhatsApp message. The meeting took place in the Menceng Bridge area.
Two alleged perpetrators, Helena and her husband with the initials YR (25), have been secured by the police and detained at the Banyumas Police for approximately two weeks.
After the detention, both parties, namely the victim’s family and the alleged perpetrator’s family, took the initiative to draw up a peace agreement. The contents of the agreement stated that the parties agreed to resolve the extortion problem peacefully and amicably. The victim has sincerely forgiven the alleged perpetrator.
“With this peace, all parties involved in the problem are considered to have been resolved and there will be no further lawsuits in the future.”
This peace agreement was witnessed by a number of witnesses, including the Head of RT 02/08 Mr. Saiful Anwar, the Head of Rawalo Village Mr. Supyan Tsauri, witness Dodi Afrianto, and the parents of both parties (the victim and the alleged perpetrator).
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banyumas Police has acted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and carried out the legal process with applicable procedures.
